Jeff was born and raised in the dry red rock desert of Southern Utah. There he learned the importance of being outside enjoying the natural world and the need for responsible stewardship of water and all of our natural resources. He graduated with a B.S. of Geology from Southern Utah University in the high desert mountain town of Cedar City, Utah. During his time there, he found a passion for whitewater rafting and has completed three trips through the Grand Canyon on the Colorado River and several other trips along the Green River and San Juan River. After graduation, he worked in Copper Exploration where he could use his other passion of rock and mineral collecting locating copper deposits. There he also realized the importance of water resources and made a career change by moving to the East Coast and pursuing the Environmental Consulting industry. He recently became one of Earth Data’s three FAA-certified drone pilots.
On the weekends he paddles the waters of the Chesapeake Bay and all of its tributaries.
