Geospatial Technical Manager
Jackson Forrest joined Earth Data Incorporated in April 2014 after graduating from Virginia Tech with a B.A. in Geography with an option in Geospatial and Environmental Analysis and Minor in Natural Resources. He has experience working with and creating complex GIS/big data workflows to meet project needs. Jackson recently became an FAA-certified drone pilot, one of three at Earth Data. He is responsible for the management and QA/QC of GIS oriented relational databases in projects involving large-scale feature extraction and surface water delineation. Jackson also has experience managing and creating GIS based web applications for clients and internal project workflows. He has designed workflows for large-scale field data collection and data management.
In his free time, Jackson enjoys biking and swimming, and is a big Baltimore sports fan.
