Earth Data Incorporated has assisted a wide range of clients in evaluating sites and obtaining permits for land application systems and on-site wastewater disposal projects since 1982. Our clients have included municipalities, county, and state governments, land planners, developers, engineering firms, industries, attorneys, and individual landowners. Projects have ranged in size from individual lots to large municipal systems. Our experienced project managers and technical staff can provide you and your clients with the services necessary to make environmentally and economically sound decisions while meeting regulatory requirements. Some of our services include:

SITE FEASIBILITY AND SELECTION STUDIES

Utilizing existing soils and hydrogeological data, Earth Data Incorporated evaluates sites for potential wastewater disposal options including subsurface trench systems, sand mounds, bermed infiltration ponds, marsh pond systems, and rapid infiltration systems.
Preliminary field data is then collected to evaluate all feasible wastewater disposal options in order to determine the best solution to meet both the client's needs and regulatory requirements. Data collected during the site feasibility phase can be used to assist in preliminary subdivision layouts and to plan detailed soil investigations.

SOIL INVESTIGATIONS AND SURVEYS

Earth Data Incorporated has conducted detailed soil investigations and has provided soil descriptions, soil classifications, soil maps, and wet season soil identifications.

FIELD TESTING AND DRILLING
Utilizing in-house drilling and direct-push capabilities and field equipment, Earth Data Incorporated installs piezometers and wells and conducts permeability tests, slug tests, single-and-double ring infiltrometer tests and percolation tests.

GROUNDWATER STUDIES AND SAMPLING
Earth Data Incorporated installs, monitors, and samples piezometers and wells to determine depth to groundwater, seasonal fluctuations, direction of flow, and groundwater quality.

DATA ANALYSIS AND REPORT PREPARATION
Earth Data Incorporated uses state-of-the-art analytical methods and computer modeling to assess impacts of wastewater disposal and to prepare reports that meet regulatory requirements. Both analytical and numerical modeling services are used to assess groundwater mounding and nitrogen impacts in groundwater.

PERMITTING ASSISTANCE
Our staff has up-to-date knowledge of existing and proposed regulations and can assist you in all stages of wastewater disposal and groundwater discharge permitting. Our staff can also provide liaison with regulatory agencies. Earth Data Incorporated has the experience and technical support to provide you and your client with all the necessary services to evaluate sites, analyze data, and ultimately obtain permits.
